How long and far are the tours?
The half day Themed tours last for around 3 hours. The distances covered vary depending on the tour but all of them are between 6 and 10 km in length.
The full day tours, Themed, Highlights or Tailored Tours last around 7 hours including a break for lunch.
What languages is the tour given in?
The tours could be given, simultaneously if needed, in English, Catalan and Spanish.
For other languages (Italian, French, Japanese, etc.), please contact us by e-mail.
Where do the tours start from?
From different points around the city depending on the route we follow (see tours). The starting and finishing points are always located near metro stations.
What does the tour include?
The bicycle, the guide accompanying you and supplementary information about the route on the bikes’ built-in tablet.
The lunch on the full day tours, Themed, Highlights Tour or Tailored Tours is not included in the price.
How many people will there be on our tour?
Our tours take a maximum of 12 people and a minimum of 4. If you would like to arrange a tour for a larger group, please get in touch with us by e-mail. If you are less than 4 people, anyway you can book the tour for the price of 4 people.
Do you need to be in good shape?
The tours are designed for all types of people (see Tour profiles)
The only requirement is knowing how to ride a bicycle.
Is it safe riding around Barcelona on a bike?
There are around 200 km or cycle lane in the city. The majority of the tours are conducted on this extensive network. Sometimes the tours involve riding on slow-moving streets.
What bicycle do we ride on the tours?
We ride Dahon Vitesse D3 folding bikes on the tours. Dahon is a pioneering brand of folding bikes for the city. They are very easy to ride and changing gears is very simple.
Can children come on the tours?
Yes they can. For children who weigh less than 22 kg, we have safety approved child seats available.
Children between 14 and 18 years old can take part on the tours using the standard Dahon bicycle as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult.
Do children have to pay?
No extra charge is made for children travelling in child seats.
Do we have to wear helmets?
It is not compulsory to wear a helmet when riding in Barcelona, but we have helmets available and we recomend wearing it.
Is it necessary to book a tour?
Yes. You can book a tour using our online booking system.
How far in advance should I book?
Bookings should be made at least 48 hours in advance. However, if you have less time, do not hesitate to contact us and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.
Can I cancel a tour?
Yes, as long as cancellations are made at least 48 hours in advance. After cancellation, a refund of 90% of the tour price will be made, with the remaining 10% being used to cover transfer costs.
What happens if it rains?
We will contact you to offer you two options:
a) We recommend our ‘Rainy day tour’, on foot around the city centre. We will provide you with umbrellas if required.
b) Reschedule your tour.
If you would rather cancel the tour, we will refund you 90% of the tour price, with the remaining 10% being used to cover transfer costs.
What happens if a there is a problem with a bicycle?
We have a roadside assistance service available for the urgent replacement of bicycles.
Can I rent the bicycles?
Yes, we provide a rental service for bicycles delivered to your door.

Bike rental

What model of bicycle can I hire?
We rent Dahon Vitesse D3 folding bicycles.
What is included when I hire a bike?
The rental fee includes delivery to and collection from your accommodation, a helmet if requested in advance and a map of Barcelona cycle paths.
When and where are the bikes delivered and collected?
Bikes are delivered between 08:30 and 09:30 in the morning and collected between 20:30 and 21:30 in the evening. Bikes are delivered to and collected from the ground floor of your accommodation.
Can we hire bikes for children?
Yes, as long as they are 14 years old or over and are accompanied by an adult.
Do I need to book a bike?
Yes, through our booking system.
How far in advance should I make a booking?
Booking at least 48 hours in advanced is recommended, depending on availability.
How do I pay?
A down payment of 50% of the rental fee is paid on booking via our website and the remaining 50% is paid in cash on delivery of the bicycle.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, as long as cancellations are made 48 hours in advance. A refund of 90% of the booking fees paid will be made, with the remaining 10% being used to cover transfer costs.
Do I have to leave a deposit?
When payment is made when booking the bicycle, prepayment of a €100 deposit is also charged to cover potential damage or theft of the equipment. When the equipment is returned without damage caused by the client, the deposit is refunded in full.
